Baycrest CLRI’s 2015 Summer Student Internships in Innovation & AgingPosted Date: January 19, 2015 Posted By: Katarina Dunham
It’s that time again! The Baycrest Centre for Learning, Research and Innovation in Long-Term Care is excited to offer undergraduate students in health professions programs an opportunity to apply for a paid summer internship to gain knowledge and experience in a long-term care teaching home.
Over six weeks, interns will actively participate in small group learning focused on aging, clinical issues in gerontology, evaluation techniques and interprofessional competencies. Interns will be engaged in and develop a deeper understanding of the practice setting by learning alongside healthcare providers, attending clinical rounds, being paired with residents and engaging in arts-based learning.
Interns will also be teamed with a project mentor and will participate in a program evaluation project. The internship will include opportunities to job shadow a variety of roles across the continuum of geriatric services at Baycrest.
Come experience Baycrest and be part of the next generation of health clinician leaders in gerontology and aging!
Applications accepted until March 2, 2015
Most decisions will be made by: April 15, 2015
Start date: July 6, 2015
