Excellence in Resident-Centred Care (ERCC) Trainer Course

This 24-hour certificate course is delivered by Conestoga College in collaboration with the Schlegel Centre for Learning Research & Innovation in Long-Term Care. There are two components to the course:


  • 16-hours of online instruction
  • 8-hour in-class workshop


Upon completion of the course, the ERCC trainer will become certified to facilitate ERCC training to team members in the comfort and convenience of their own workplace. The 12-hour team member training can be delivered as a one-day session, lunch and learn, or two-day course.

Regular Fee: $690 (plus HST) per student

Subsidized Fee: $370 (plus HST) per student


The Centre for Learning, Research & Innovation (CLRI) is currently offering a bursary that will reduce the cost for a limited time. Subsidized fee applies to Ontario long-term care facilities only.



The course fee for team members (e.g. Personal Support Workers) is $25 (plus HST) per person.
