Join Morris, a resident in long-term care and Ryan, a Personal Support Worker as they enjoy lunch together and practice how to set up a pleasant and safe experience. Practice how to begin and end a meal experience. Try out different seating arrangements, food types, and placement of eating utensils. Be aware of spoon-feeding techniques, how to encourage independence, and strategies to help with swallowing food. Learn about PACER as a quick way to remember what to do at mealtimes. 

The Eating Assistance eLearning course helps learners build confidence supporting residents during meals using safe, person-centred approaches. In approximately 10 minutes, you will gain practical strategies to support positive dining experiences in long-term care.
