Join us for our Discuss Plus! Series for LTC nurses. The Discuss Plus! Series provides a practical, short learning experience for nurses wanting to build their leadership skills and improve care for residents, with the opportunity to learn from nurses across Ontario. This series will be held virtually, quarterly, and will consist of facilitated discussions that explore the Clinical Conversations: How Would You Lead resource.
The Clinical Conversations: How Would You Lead resource is a set of six case studies that showcase real team member experiences in LTC that can support you in starting conversations.
Our upcoming session on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 will focus on:
- respecting a resident’s autonomy in making end-of-life care decisions;
- supporting residents and families when there are differing opinions about a resident’s care choices;
- improving communication skills in discussing palliative care with residents and families;
- and exploring the interdisciplinary approach needed to support complex care in LTC.
Joining us for this session will be Palliative Care consultant Lesley Hirst RN, BScN (Hons), MNNP, MSc.
Date: Tuesday, September 22, 2026
