Erin Charnish, RN(EC), MSc, NP-PHC
Erin Charnish is a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience caring for older adults across acute, community, and long-term care settings. Her work includes graduate research on dementia caregiving, teaching with the Toronto Regional Geriatric Program and Ontario PHCNP program, and clinical practice with the Scarborough Health Network GAIN Geriatrics Clinic since 2014.
Maria Martinez, MSW, RSW
Maria Martinez is a Registered Social Worker at the UHN Memory Clinic (Toronto Western Hospital), where she has worked since 2007. A graduate of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Social Work, she has extensive experience in acute care and outpatient settings and serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto’s Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work.

- Understand the impact of caregiver stress and burden
- Identify dementia caregiver counselling supports and resources available in Ontario
