This certificate program helps team members enhance training and education in long-term care homes across Ontario. Participants will recognize leading educational and relational practices and learn how to apply the SECL Six-Step Educator Competency Framework. They will explore creative approaches to learning, identify Ontario CLRI resources that can support their practice, and apply relational, collaborative, and hands-on approaches to help teams learn more effectively. Learning activities include group discussions and interactive exercises designed to build skills and confidence.
Duration:
- Overall program length: 18 hours
- 1 mandatory program orientation session (120 minutes)
- 7 mandatory synchronous training sessions (75 minutes each)
