Successful clinical student placements help recruit and retain future team members
while strengthening the people working in LTC and the sector.
Providing a good experience for future team members is essential. The relationship between a preceptor and student is very important and can be a rewarding career experience for both parties. The PREP LTC eCourse provides students and preceptors with knowledge, skills, values and attitudes across a wide variety of topics related to clinical student placement and the LTC setting.
Use evidence-informed educational approaches, effective feedback techniques, and structured debriefing conversations to strengthen the teaching and learning experience.
“The training has everything we need to be an excellent preceptor.” – Long-term care team member
