Skin breakdown can cause pain, infection, and reduce residents’ quality of life. Preventing and managing wounds requires awareness and action from all team members. This course helps non-clinical team members understand risk factors, common skin and wound issues, and recognize signs that a resident may be affected. Through interactive activities, learners will build confidence to identify concerns and know what information to report to clinical team members to support resident care.
