This is the first in a series of Supporting Diversity in Long-Term Care (LTC) webinars being offered by the Ontario CLRI in collaboration with the Advisory Group, experts and persons with lived experience.
This webinar will explore concepts and highlight the importance of why and how supporting diversity helps LTC residents to thrive.
During the webinar, you will learn:
- Why resident-centered care includes recognition and support of the person’s culture;
- Practical steps that LTC homes can take to better support the culture of individual residents; and
- Current and upcoming Ontario CLRI initiatives and resources that will assist LTC homes to provide culturally appropriate resident care.

Sue Cragg, MBA, Director, Sue Cragg Consulting
Sue Cragg has 30 years of experience in research, needs assessments, literature reviews, stakeholder consultation, knowledge exchange, report writing, training, and evaluation. Her subject matter expertise spans long-term care, older adults, health, physical activity and sport, as well as in the built environment and supports for active transportation. Sue has been helping programs such as the Ontario CLRI and its host organizations to identify ways to address equity, inclusion and accessibility for LTC residents and stakeholders for several years.
