PRESENTATION TITLE:
Working with Family Caregivers in Long?Term Care

PRESENTERS:
Courtney Edmond is a Registered Social Worker and holds a Bachelor of Social Work with a Minor in Psychology from
Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). Courtney currently holds the role of Social Worker,
BSO Caregiver Specialist, Long Term Care Lead at the Alzheimer Society of Toronto. Her experience and expertise
include supporting caregivers through navigation of the healthcare system and their loved one’s transition and
journey within long?term care.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:
? Identify family caregiver experiences with LTC placement
? Understand family relationships
? Identify successful supportive communication skills and strategies
