Frail Aging and Cognitive Impairment Simulation Toolkits for Educators

This webinar will explore concepts of simulation with respect to frail aging and cognitive impairment. These toolkits were developed for Ontario long-term care home educators to demonstrate how simulation may be used as an educational resource to explore values and attitudes in learners and staff in long-term care.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to: 

  • Describe a simulation framework
  • Utilize the toolkits to create simulation scenarios
  • Incorporate debriefs with simulation scenarios



Jennifer Reguindin, BScN MScN RN GNC(c), Interprofessional Educator, Ontario Centres for Learning, Research and Innovation in Long-Term at Baycrest.

Jennifer Reguindin is an Interprofessional Educator at the Ontario Centres for Learning, Research and Innovation in Long-Term Care at Baycrest.  Her work focuses on a wide range of topics including preventing acute deterioration, responsive behaviours, clinical simulation, and gamification in geriatric care and healthcare education.
