FLTCA Alignment: 81-Screening measures 

Every licensee of a long-term care home shall ensure screening measures are conducted before hiring staff and volunteers. The screening measures shall include police record checks (for persons over the age of 18). Every licensee of a long-term care home shall ensure that no staff member is hired if they have been convicted of an offence prescribed in the regulations, or have been found guilty of an act of professional misconduct prescribed in the regulations.
