Supporting the presence and engagement of family and friends of residents requires deliberate planning and thorough communication with residents, families and team members. Experiential, team-based learning and interprofessional competencies are integrated into the Team Essentials program in order to encourage discovery, critical thinking, communication, and solution-focused team responses.
