GeriMedRisk is an interdisciplinary telemedicine consultation and education service for doctors, nurse practitioners and pharmacists in Ontario. Using telephone and eConsult, clinicians receive a coordinated response to questions regarding optimizing medications, mental health and comorbidities in older adult patients from a team of geriatric specialists and pharmacists. GeriMedRisk is a not-for-profit service for clinicians.
Education
Drug Information Summaries
Based on each unique consultation, GeriMedRisk develops drug information summaries specific to older adults. These educational resources are designed to increase the knowledge and ability of clinicians to care for and safely prescribe to their older adult patients.
Development of the Drug Information Summaries is supported by the Ontario Centres for Learning, Research and Innovation in Long-Term Care (CLRI) at the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA).
