New eLearning course on empowering caregivers as partners in the team

Enhance your team’s knowledge and understanding of how to include, support and empower caregivers as partners in the team with our new one-hour eLearning Course.

The Ontario CLRI at Bruyere and the Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO) are pleased to be launching: Caregivers as Partners in Long-Term Care!

Caregivers play an imperative role in supporting the health and well-being of residents living in long-term care homes. Research highlights that benefits include: improved quality of care and resident outcomes; improved working conditions for care providers; and reductions in overall costs.

Co-designed with residents, caregivers, LTC team members and leaders, this interactive course will help you gain the practical tips, tools, and real-world examples to build stronger relationships with families and teams in your LTC home.

Aligned with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, and Health Standards Organization’s National Long-Term Care Services Standard, this course also has been informed by recent research to support LTC homes in building and strengthening people-centred approaches to care.

This course is available at no cost on the Ontario CLRI’s eLearning Hub, Surge Learning and on OCO’s eLearning Hub!
