Are you studying to become a clinician or health-care provider who works with older adults? Are you passionate about innovation? Gain knowledge in gerontology, develop skills in interprofessional practice, and get to know long-term care. The internship is an opportunity to explore a future in older adult health care, network with future and current health-care providers, and shape how you will practice.
The 2022 Ontario CLRI Virtual Internships in Innovation & Aging offer 4-week temporary paid positions. Interns will be paid an hourly minimum wage of up to 27.5 hours per week. There are two, four-week term internships delivered online.
The 2022 internships offer students opportunities to actively participate in small group learning focused on ageing, clinical issues in gerontology, and interprofessional competencies. Working collaboratively, interns will develop a better understanding of ageing and develop competencies in seniors’ care through daily interaction in a simulation and game-based app. In addition, interns will have the opportunity to engage with residents. Interns will also be teamed with a mentor and will participate in an innovative project.
