New eLearning Course: Minimizing Restraint Use in Long-Term Care

Looking to enhance your team’s knowledge on appropriate restraint use in long-term care? The Ontario CLRI at the RIA has launched an engaging new eLearning course, Minimizing Restraint Use in Long-Term Care.

Through this course, learners will develop evidence-based practices to minimize the restraining of residents. Team members will learn what restraints are and their types, when restraint use is appropriate, how to safely apply and monitor restraints when necessary, and the alternatives to restraint use.

This short course takes 10 minutes to complete and ensures teams have the knowledge and skills they need to reduce the use of restraints.
