Funding Opportunities
PREP LTC
The Preceptor Resource and Education Program in Long-Term Care (PREP LTC) provides long-term care (LTC) homes funding to help increase the quality of and capacity for clinical student placements in Ontario.
There are changes in the funding amounts and how LTC homes can allocate funds in Year 3.

Eligibility: Homes that have had active student clinical education placements for PSWs, RNs, RPNs, PNs and IENs and SPEP candidates.

PSW Education Fund
The PSW fund provides tuition and backfill reimbursement for team members working in Ontario LTC homes to participate in continuing education and professional development through the Excellence in Resident-Centred Care (ERCC) program, Living the Dementia Journey (LDJ) program, The Working Mind (TWM) Healthcare program, and the Learning Inter-Professionally Healthcare Accelerator platform.
Eligibility: All LTC homes in Ontario can enroll for funding for tuition and backfill for PSW and other team members.

CEoL Education Fund
The Communication at End-of-Life Education Fund for Long-Term Care (CEoL Education Fund) provides backfill funding to enhance team members’ competencies in providing both palliative care and end-of-life care to residents and their families. The CEoL Education Fund includes bilingual learning materials and programs to enhance palliative care in LTC homes: virtual training, eLearning, webinars and direct support.
Enrollment for the All-In Palliative Care: The Team Approach to LTC training program is available in English and French!
LIPHA Funding
The Learning Inter-Professionally Healthcare Accelerator (LIPHA) is an innovative virtual training solution that combines leading practices in simulation and game-based learning to accelerate training and orientation processes for PSWs and nurses in LTC homes. Through the PSW Education Fund, Ontario long-term care homes can receive backfill pay support for newly hired PSWs enrolled in the 4-day virtual practice accelerator and newly hired nurses enrolled in the 4.5-day virtual practice accelerator.
