EVS team members play a vital role in infection prevention and control (IPAC) in LTC homes. To support their dedicated work, we’re excited to announce our learning resource package for cleaning and sanitizing LTC homes.
Our Illustrated Checklists for Environmental Services Orientation, created by the Ontario CLRI at the RIA, provide teams with environmental cleaning best practices. This resource includes detailed instructions featuring an EVS team member completing each cleaning and sanitizing step. It can be customized with the practices and products unique to each home.
The checklists were co-developed with an IPAC specialist and EVS managers after consultation with EVS team members.
