Join the Ontario CLRI at the RIA for a free, virtual webinar featuring Ontario Seniors Nutrition & Advocacy Committee (OSNAC) to understand how to navigate food service regulations in Ontario long-term care (LTC) settings and learn about newest eLearning Course, “Dysphagia and the Elements of Safe Eating,” in the Long-Term Care Food Services Orientation Series!

By the end of the webinar, participants will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of recent changes under the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 that affect food service-related staff certification and education, dining service, menu planning and on-site dietitian support.
  • Discover the newest eLearning course, “Dysphagia and the Elements of Safe Eating,” in the Long-Term Care Food Services Orientation Series, developed to provide foundational learning for all dietary team members before in-person training.
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions and hear from others who have operationalized the regulation changes and/or implemented the eLearning resources in their homes to enhance food service as well as resident safety and enjoyment at snack and mealtimes.
