PREP LTC provides students and preceptors with knowledge and skills across a wide variety of topics related to clinical student placements in LTC. Positive clinical student placement experiences are essential for the well-being and success of individual students and preceptors, other team members, including residents and families, and for LTC organizations. To support you in preparing for successful clinical student placements, you’ll explore topics such as student-preceptor roles, reflective practice, conflict resolution, learning objectives, and anti-oppressive care. The course also highlights unique opportunities in the LTC setting and key approaches to support optimal learning. Learning is self-directed across eight modules featuring case studies, expert interviews, interactive activities, and downloadable resources. Completion of all eight modules is required to receive certification, a badge and qualify for LTC home backfill funding.
