Safe Work Practices for Clinical Staff: The 1, 2, 3 Approach

This eLearning Course focuses on body safety mechanics and the principles of safe work practices for clinical staff on proper lifting, transfer and repositioning techniques to protect and avoid injury to residents and staff in long-term care homes. This eLearning Course can be completed by clinical staff (registered nurses, personal care attendants). This topic is related to the mandatory training requirements for long-term care homes in Ontario.
The duration of this eLearning course is around 40 minutes.

The Trainer’s Toolkit is a resource designed for LTC homes to provide guidance to their educators in the development of a practical session for safe lifts, transfers, and repositioning within the home. Participants will then have the opportunity to apply/practice what they have learned from the eCourse. The content within the trainer’s resource consists of general information and templates that can be applied to any health care setting.
