Is your home looking for volunteer, co-op students and interns? This page has the information you need to build partnerships with local high schools for experiential learning placements.
Why host students at your home?
Many studies have shown that intergenerational partnerships benefit older adults.
For example, studies have found that the experience of interacting with younger people diminished loneliness and isolation, satisfied social needs, and improved self-esteem and self-efficacy for older adults.
Hosting students in your LTC home can also support growth of LTC workforce and help alleviate staffing shortages.
